Mixing fashion with motherhood moms of all shapes and sizes walked the first-ever ‘Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show’ at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week. They featured clothes from top designers like Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Pea in the Pod Maternity.
Skinny jeans, colorful blazers and leggings were popular. Polka dot print dresses, skirts and blouses were also showcased as they are in high demand this spring.
One of the organizers, Melissa Gerstein, said she and fellow mom blogger Denise Albert brainstormed the concept after they were offered a TV gig and had to find outfits to wear.
“We need stuff that’s transformable and affordable, that real moms like us can wear every single day to all of the things that we have to do, whether it’s the grocery store, school pickup, back to the meeting, back to school.” Hallelujah!
For a majority of moms, mostly all purchases are focused on the kids. Especially when it comes to clothes. So the next time you are out shopping, keep these looks and The Daily Bottles easy Style Tips in mind.
All of the looks featured on the runways are available in stores NOW! No need to wait until next season to grab them in high end boutiques. I strolled into Marshall’s the other day and they have skinny jeans in every color under the rainbow for a whopping $19.99 a piece! You can also find the same skinny jeans by Free People at Lord and Taylor for 10% off right now!
